To Brad & Family, I will treasure my time spent with Bruce, the interesting conversations, advice etc., but most of all watching the proud look on his face watching you play your drums. 'That's my boy '! was his catch phrase with a big 'thumbs up'. My sincerest sympathy, may Bruce Rest in Peace, I too will miss his presence. xx Shirley

It was very sad to hear of Uncle Bruce passing. We offer our condolences to Liisa, Joanne, Brad, also other members of extended family. We have many lovely memories of our catch ups when we had family gatherings at local restaurants, especially in Petone where we would exchange good Ole times and find out what each other's were up to. It's another passing of an era which is very precious in our memory bank. Rest in Peace X

To Roger and Dianne,
I know Bruce was your Brother but he was also your best friend. Bruce always helped, supported and
encouraged you on your many projects, especially your own designed and built Motorbikes.
It was my wish to be with you on this very sad occasion but the recent weather cyclone curtailed my
trip south. Be strong our very much loved friends.

We send much aroha today cuzzies… and for the days ahead… A totara has fallen!

Personally, over the last few years, I had semi regular contact with Bruce as we shared a passion for family history.

It gave me great delight to share the discovery of the the grave of Johannes Koch, also known as John Cook and his wife Elizabeth Cording, found in the Boulton St Cemetary in Wellington, metres from where our son Hugh works at the Boulton Hotel.

John and Elizabeth are my great great (perhaps another great!?) grandparents… So they’re yours too! Special stuff…
