Peacefully at Whanganui Hospital on Sunday 22 March 2026 after a short illness, aged 86 years.
Dearly loved Wife of the late Ted.
Much loved Mum of Kristine and the late Gary, and stepmum to Dave and Sonya, the late Michelle, Sandra and Dennis, and Simone.
Cherished Granny of Crystal and Pete, Brodie and Hazel, Melissa and Jerome, and all her grandchildren.
Loved Gigi of Connor, Zachary, Mackenzie, and all her great-grandchildren.
Special friend of the late Colin.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Joyce’s life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui on Monday 30 March 2026 at 11:00 a.m. to be followed by a private cremation.

At Joyce’s request please wear something colourful.

Hi.my name is Chrissie
and your mum and I were sisters- in -law. I was married to Ted's brother David. Ted's son David and Sonya contacted me to tell me the sad news of your mum's passing.
I am sending my condolences and love to you and your family and will be thinking of you and hopefully will be able to watch on Wednesday 30th.

Joyce was a lovely dear friend of my Poppa Colin & would accompany him on trips to visit us on the Sunshine Coast in Australia. I forever grateful he found a friend in Joyce in his final years that gave him purpose, friendship and joy- I was lucky enough to make some fantastic memories with her also. Sending my condolences to the family.
